GHOSTBUSTERS DAY 2024: Ghostbusters Haslab teases Ecto-1 coming soon…

June 9th, 2024 by Marc Comments

We’ve got another exciting Ghostbusters Day update, writes Jason at Ghostbusters News, as in celebration of the franchise’s 40th anniversary, Hasbro Pulse just teased the next Ghostbusters HasLab!

In a post made to Hasbro Pulse’s various social accounts, a reimagined version of the classic no-ghost logo was featured, strongly hinting at a crowdfunding campaign centered around the iconic film car, the Ecto-1!

As this is just a teaser and not an official announcement, further details, including the scale of the supposed Ectomobile, are currently unavailable. However, it’s reasonable to assume that it will be made in a 1:12 scale, perfectly matching Hasbro’s pre-existing Ghostbusters Plasma Series. Again, we must emphasize that Hasbro has not confirmed anything, and this is merely an educated guess on our part.

An Ecto-1 HasLab project would serve as the third crowdfunded Ghostbusters campaign, with previous offerings being 1:1 scale prop items. This includes the Ghostbusters: Afterlife Spengler Proton Pack, which achieved over 19,000 backers on a goal of 7,000, and, most recently, the Two in the Box bundle containing both a Ghost Trap and PKE Meter, which surpassed its goal of 10,000 with nearly 25,000 backers. Given those numbers, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the Ecto-1 campaign achieve similar success when it launches this fall.
